Privacy
What we store, why, and who can see it. Last updated 11 October 2026.
What we collect
- Sign-in: your phone number, verified by a one-time code (OTP), through Firebase Authentication.
- Profile: name, username, role, skills, city and area, studio, Instagram handle, years of experience, bio, WhatsApp number, and your visibility choices.
- Work data: your calendar events, crew assignments, availability marks, team memberships, crew requests you post or reply to, posts, comments and photos.
- Reviews: when you review someone, your name, @username, the stars, your words and the dates you wrote or changed it; when someone reviews you, your one reply under it and its date.
- Quotations: the client name and WhatsApp number you type into a quotation are stored with it and shown to whoever opens that quotation’s link.
- Location: only if you allow it. Your phone’s position, rounded to about a kilometre, is sent to a map service (OpenStreetMap Nominatim, or BigDataCloud if that fails) to work out your city. Only the city name is stored with your profile; the position stays on your phone for a few hours and is not kept by us.
- Devices: if you turn on notifications, a push token for that device.
Who can see what
- Your public page shows your profile. Your number appears there only if you switch “Show my number” on. Your calendar shows booked, busy and free days only, and you can make it private.
- Events are private to your studio. Crew you assign see only those events. Studio owners you’ve joined can see your availability marks.
- Needs are visible to signed-in users. Your name and number reach a poster only when you respond; the poster’s contact reaches you only when they confirm you.
- Posts and the People directory are visible to signed-in users.
- Reviews and their replies are visible to signed-in users. Anyone can see your star total and number of reviews on your public page. A review stays until its writer or a moderator deletes it, or either account is deleted; a reply stays until you or a moderator remove it, or it is removed automatically after several reports or for rude words.
How we use it
Only to run Taaha: showing your calendar, connecting teams, delivering notifications, and keeping the service safe. We don’t sell data or show ads.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Google Firebase (Firestore in Mumbai, India); photos and quotation PDFs in Google Cloud Storage for Firebase. Google’s infrastructure processes it on our behalf. The two map services above receive your rounded position and nothing else about you.
Deleting your data
In the app, tap your picture at the top right → Support → Delete my account: your profile, calendar, team, posts, comments, requests, replies, reviews (the ones you wrote and the ones about you), alerts, photos and quotations are removed within a minute and you are signed out; where you were chosen for someone else’s request, your name becomes “Removed account”. Details at taaha.ai/delete-account. Or WhatsApp +91 86868 68803 from the phone number on your account and we will delete your profile, calendar, posts and memberships. Needs and responses you took part in are anonymised.
Children
Taaha is for working professionals aged 18 and over.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell users in the app.
